DESCRIPTION:
Carried primarily as a weapon but was often used as a tool. It is believed to have derived from the dudgeon dagger and first appeared around the year 1400 and was essentially a highland rather than a lowland weapon. No highlander would be without one as many of his enemies found out.
These designs have a bone and walnut handle respectively.
